Botanical Garden Tour: Native Plant/Wildflower Garden

Cranbrook House and Gardens Auxiliary has a Native Plant/Wildflower Rescue Program wherein volunteers are given permission to save legally protected wildflowers from construction sites. In early spring the plants are removed from the sites and brought here in preparation for the Annual Spring Plant Sale in May, which is one of the few places such plants may be purchased. Plants not sold are planted in this garden and/or donated to community gardens, schools and nature centers for all to enjoy.
