Botanical Garden Tour: Sundial Garden

This garden was redesigned in 2011 and we are still in the process of finding the right plants for certain areas. On the sundial side there are Knock-Out Roses, Sambucus (Elderberry) and a large old Tree Peony. Small blue Caryopteris, Crispa Bushes, and Itea Little Henry are planted on the upper tier. Hydrangeas, Giant Persicaria and Meadow Rue are on the shadier side. Weigela Wine and Roses, Tiger-Eye Sumac, Rose of Sharon (blue/purple) and various shades of Hardy Hibiscus are planted on both side of upper tier of this garden. White and blue annuals are usually added in the summer. Deep blue Monkshood blooms in the late summer and early fall.
