Holiday Splendor: Tree #12

Pilgrims' Pride
Delmarie LaGrasso & Linda Bruszewski

Step back in time to the 1600s, and enjoy this holiday tree that was decorated by a Pilgrim family. The tree is adorned with twine, raffia, burlap, and an assortment of nature’s treasures – berries, pods, pine cones, twigs, and leaves. Presents under the tree, in keeping with the times, include a woven wooden cradle, rag doll, wooden wagon, and marbles. Listen to the music of Gaelic Harpist, Turlough O’Carolan (1670-1738).  Then, step into the present to a table set for dinner and enjoy sweet aromas, family holiday recipes and napkin folding tips.
